Association Bylaws

1. The official name of the organization shall be the International Association of University Arab Professors ("the Association").
2. The Association is an international academic body established to advance university teaching, research, leadership, integrity, and scholarly cooperation.
3. These bylaws govern the internal administration, membership, academic standards framework, and institutional procedures of the Association.
4. The scope of application includes all members, officers, committees, and authorized representatives acting in the name of the Association.

The Association shall pursue academic, educational, ethical, and public-engagement objectives aligned with its international mission.

• *Support academic membership pathways, verification, and identity services.
• *Provide faculty-development programs, workshops, academic forums, and learning resources.
• *Promote academic integrity, freedom, collegiality, and responsible scholarship.
• *Encourage partnerships, collaborative research, international exchange, and public engagement.

1. Applications shall be submitted using the official membership process with accurate information and required documents.
2. The Association may verify qualifications, university appointment details, academic identity, and supporting credentials before approval.
3. Membership may be approved, conditionally approved, deferred, or rejected based on published criteria and review outcomes.
4. Annual renewal, dues, and administrative fees (if applicable) shall be established by the competent authority and published in official notices.
5. Failure to renew or comply with membership requirements may result in suspension of member benefits and status.

The Association shall operate through a governance framework that ensures leadership accountability, role clarity, and administrative continuity.

1. Regular and special meetings may be convened in-person, online, or hybrid, subject to official notice requirements.
2. Notice periods, agenda circulation, and decision procedures shall be defined by policy or internal regulations consistent with these bylaws.
3. Quorum thresholds for meetings shall be determined by the competent governing body and documented in meeting procedures.
4. Minutes and resolutions shall be recorded, preserved, and made available to authorized parties as appropriate.

Leadership roles may be filled by election or appointment according to the applicable governance framework, eligibility criteria, and term rules.

The Association may establish permanent or temporary committees and working groups to support specialized functions and institutional priorities.

The Association shall maintain procedures for addressing ethical concerns, membership misconduct, and policy violations in a fair and documented manner.

1. Complaints may be received through official channels and reviewed for jurisdiction, sufficiency, and process eligibility.
2. Members subject to review should be informed of the matter and given an opportunity to respond in accordance with procedure.
3. Outcomes may include guidance, warning, conditional continuation, suspension, or termination of membership status.
4. An appeals mechanism may be established to review procedural concerns or contestable decisions within a stated timeframe.

1. These bylaws may be amended by the competent authority through the approved amendment procedure and voting threshold.
2. Proposed amendments should be circulated with sufficient notice and explanatory rationale before consideration.
3. Ratified bylaws and amendments shall be documented, dated, and archived in the official records of the Association.
4. These bylaws enter into force on the official effective date approved by the competent authority.
